Separatism as political phenomenon

Abstract
The central problem of a modern ethnopolicy is the problem of effective counteraction to separatism. This question has found the special importance on boundary ХХ-ХХ1 of centuries in the light of endured by many countries and continents the Ethnic Renaissance. A variety of separatism displays its indissoluble communication with crisis of the national states and activization of national movements, what demands the analysis of modern system of counteraction to this phenomenon. Within the frames of given article the author carries out the analysis of the basic ways and means of counteraction to separatism in the international legal and political practice.
